On Wednesday 23 September, four colleagues from National Legal Service will take part in the Liverpool Legal Walk. Emma Sanchez Garcia, Elizabeth Hay, Charlotte Greaves and Anna Pratten will join legal professionals and supporters of access to justice for a 5K walk around Liverpool city centre. The event brings together firms, organisations and individuals from across the city’s legal community and National Legal Service is proud to be among the organisations taking part in this year’s walk.
Raising funds for free legal advice
The Liverpool Legal Walk raises money for the Access to Justice Foundation, which supports the advice sector and helps people access legal advice when they need it. The organisations supported through this work can assist people facing eviction or homelessness, workers challenging discrimination and families seeking care for a loved one.
Access to early legal advice can make a meaningful difference when someone is facing a serious problem and unsure on what steps to take. Events like this help raise vital funding for services that support people who may otherwise struggle to get the help they need.
Why NLS takes part in Legal Walks
We see, first hand, how important accessible legal advice can be. People often seek support at a difficult point in their lives and being able to access clear, timely advice can help them understand their options and take the next step.
That’s why taking part in Legal Walks like this, matters to us. They are an opportunity to stand alongside colleagues from across the profession and support organisations working to make justice more accessible to people in our communities.
Liverpool is NLS’s third Legal Walk of 2026, following walks in London and York earlier this year. However, our commitment doesn’t begin or end with this year’s events. We take part in Legal Walks each year because we believe everyone should be able to access legal advice when they need it and we will continue to support the causes that help make this possible.
