Melvin Martins graduated with an LLB (Hons) Law degree (2:1) and has worked as a Legal Assistant in the Family Department at National Legal Service for over three years. Melvin specialises in Legal Aid applications, amendments and appeals, supporting clients across a range of family law matters, including Non-Molestation Orders, Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Children Act proceedings. He has particular experience assisting vulnerable clients affected by domestic abuse, helping them access legal protection and the funding required to progress their matters.
Melvin is committed to providing clients with clear, practical and compassionate support throughout the legal process. He takes pride in his attention to detail and efficiency, particularly in relation to Legal Aid work, and has been recognised for completing the highest number of Legal Aid applications at National Legal Service in 2024 and the third-highest number in 2023.
