I am a consultant family solicitor with over 30 years’ experience in Public Law Childcare Proceedings where I have acted for Local Authorities and parents within such proceedings. For a number of years, I was also a member of the Law Society Children Panel enabling me to represent children through their children’s guardians within care proceedings.
I began my career as a legal advisor to Magistrates in the Criminal and Family Courts in London, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. On leaving the Court Service I worked as a Criminal and Childcare Lawyer in Cambridgeshire.
I have worked as head of department for Public Law Care practices in Luton and Bedford and was a partner in my own Family Law Practice based in Luton for several years.
At present I am a Consultant Solicitor attending Court as an Advocate representing parties in all aspects of Public Law/Child Protection Proceedings in the Family Court before Justices, District Judges, Recorders and Circuit Judges. I also have experience of appearing in the High Court in such proceedings.
I consider myself to be a considerate and compassionate advocate in what I consider to be one of the most important areas of Family Law namely proceedings that deal with safeguarding and protection of some of the most vulnerable in our society; Children.
